@DreamWorksSheRa: Scorpia loves hard, to her own detriment  @lauren_ash #SheRa #SDCC2019

@DreamWorksSheRa: Still not saying if we’ll have a musical episode #SheRa #SDCC2019

@DreamWorksSheRa: Season 3 picks up right where season 2 ends! #SheRa #SDCC2019

@DreamWorksSheRa: Lots of tension on Bright Moon when Shadow Weaver arrives. #SheRa #SDCC2019

@DreamWorksSheRa: She-Ra wasn’t expecting to have her past (ie: Shadow Weaver) come to her this quickly after leaving the Horde. #SheRa #SDCC2019

@DreamWorksSheRa: Light Hope is a source of frustration for She-Ra. Super knowledgeable but kinda all over the place. I mean... who doesn’t have THAT one friend, #amirite? #SheRa #SDCC2019

@DreamWorksSheRa: She-Ra has support of Best Friends Squad... and some new allies in season 3. Who could it be??? #SheRa #SDCC2019

@DreamWorksSheRa: Adora has left the Horde but still really doesn’t have control of her future as She-Ra. #SheRa #SDCC2019

@DreamWorksSheRa: One of the best fandom moments for @aimeecarrero is the Adora/Catra cosplayer proposal! #SheRa #SDCC2019

@DreamWorksSheRa: Best Friends Squad travel to Crimson Waste to find out more about Mara. #SheRa #SDCC2019

@DreamWorksSheRa: Geena Davis came to DreamWorks for a panel and said she was open to voicing a character. @Gingerhazing took her up on her offer! #SheRa #SDCC2019

@DreamWorksSheRa: Aaaand Geena taught @Gingerhazing a few archery stances. We’re fangirling hard over here!  #SheRa #SDCC2019

@DreamWorksSheRa: New clip showed during panel... and Catra has a whip. A WHIP! #SheRa #SDCC2019

@DreamWorksSheRa: Easter eggs for ya guy! Kyle was Bow’s original name. Lonnie and Mara are references from classic She-Ra. #SheRa #SDCC2019

@DreamWorksSheRa: That’s a wrap! Thanks to these beautiful people! #SheRa #SDCC2019

Collider had this interesting information to add:

"The panelists also shared several clips that showed Adora, Glimmer, Bow, Catra and Scorpia traveling through a desolate land called the Crimson Waste where Adora comes face to face with its de facto leader, Huntara. Meawhile, Catra and Scorpia find themselves in the crosshairs of a threatening bandit named Tung Lashor. All of that and more will be experienced when the DreamWorks series returns to Netflix this August 2nd."

A large and enthusiastic audience cheered on as the 6th annual Her Universe Fashion Show kicked off Thursday evening at San Diego Comic-Con. Founded by actor and entrepreneur Ashley Eckstein, Her Universe is celebrated as a must-see event at SDCC. It's where 24 fashion designers competed last night for the opportunity to design a fashion collection with Her Universe for Hot Topic.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power was a presenting sponsor at this year's event, and the theme of the show, the "Power of Fashion", was inspired by Eckstein's partnership with DreamWorks. Merit Leighton, the voice actor behind Frosta on DreamWorks/Netflix's animated She-Ra and the Princesses of Power series, was chosen to be one of the judges.

Two of the twenty-four designer finalists walked the runway wearing SPOP-inspired creations. Olivia Mears of North Carolina wore an amazing She-Ra-inspired pantsuit/cape combination, naming her design title "She-Ra, The Princess of Power Suits", while Christine Geiger of California rocked an equally cool Swift Wind-inspired creation. "A Horsey of a Different Color" was her design title.

The She-Ra goodness didn't stop there! Eckstein went through numerous fashion changes throughout the event, one of which saw her wearing an Adora/She-Ra-inspired creation by Andrew MacLaine. The transformable winged headpiece and two arm gauntlets were designed by Harmony Leiker, who can be seen in the first gallery image below wearing her own Glimmer-inspired creation. (Thank you for the photo Harmony!)

You can watch a clip of Eckstein's impressive fashion tranfomation sequence on DreamWorks' Instagram page. (Olivia Mears and Christina Geiger are featured on the Instagram page as well.

Later in the show, Eckstein and DreamWorks revealed that she will be voicing a character on an upcoming season of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.

Additionally, Her Universe recently added several officially licensed products on their website that are inspired by the She-Ra and the Princesses of Power series. Click here to join the discussion on He-Man.org Her Universe thread.

Late last month, international trade publication Kidscreen reported that Mattel's new DreamWorks/Netflix She-Ra and the Princesses of Power doll range would be launching at Target in the US in August, with dolls available for US$14.99 and US$29.99.

For the last few weeks, Mattel has been posting teaser images of some of the dolls in the collection, with the full reveals expected to debut at SDCC (July 18 - July 21) or shortly before the convention via Mattel's social media. However, one LA-based She-Ra fan, sabrinatwyla on Instagram, recently spotted numerous SPOP merchandise items at her local Target: Adora, She-Ra, Catra, Bow and Glimmer dolls priced at $14.99, a Battle Armor She-Ra & Swift Wind priced at $29.99, and a She-Ra "Dress Up Set" that she didn't catch the price on. (She is credited for those images in the gallery.)

sabrinatwyla says that a Target representative told her that the street date on these items is Wednesday July 17th. Another fan had the following information to add:

"Ok...so I checked with my friend who is a manager at a Target near me...yes today is the technical release date and yes some stores may have received the items but the actual "set", as in the date they reset the isle it's going to be in, is not until the 28th of this month. So many of us may not see them until then. Also, some stores may have product sitting in the back that will not make it out till that date... he said you can always ask and if the store has it they should bring it out to you. But I can confirm as of right now that there is not a store anywhere near NW Indiana that has stock at this moment...cause if there was...I'd be driving there now..."

DARREN'S INSTAGRAM PAGE (former Mattel employee who worked on the She-Ra line)

Look who is starting to make an appearance at Target! Check out the original post for pics of the rest of the line! Squee! I designed She-Ra and the packaging (artwork came from Dreamworks, layout and Blister design by me!) the other. Dolls were done by @the_ageofa !

Question: The one that comes with shadow weaver is barbie size?

Darren (vitamin_d_81): yes! She-Ra has a similar body to the WWE dolls. Her torso is updated though with a smaller chest, plus she has new hands and new lower legs with less arched feet.

Question: She looks so freaking cute!! Is it me or she slightly different than the SDCC version? Her capes looks shorter and some fabrics look different maybe? Still gorgeous though, love her!!!

Darren (vitamin_d_81): yes, the two she-ra’s are different! the one with Shadow Weaver has 20” of hair with shimmer shine, a super long double sided foil cape, her outfit is made of a white pleather with ribbon detail on the shorts, her sword has glitter in it, and she has an extra paint application on her boots!

CORRECTION - Darren (vitamin_d_81): i meant 10” of hair, lol

Question: Are the clothes and armor removable? I kinda want to try my hand at doing some paint work on the armor to make it shinier and replacing the skirt with a less transparent material as well as doing full on alternate outfits sometime (I really want to do princess prom outfits).

Darren (vitamin_d_81): yes, their clothes/ armor is removable!

--------------------

It’s everyone favorite talking, flying, and all around amazing unicorn, Swift Wind!! Looks like he and Battle armor She-Ra are starting to make an appearance at Target stores. They have a do not sell until 7/17 (tomorrow). I designed the toy and packaging for this one! And @kristenlikeamazon did the beautiful artwork for the wings! @kittaya_papaya sculpted She-Ra and her armor!

Question: what are the wings made of? Are they a plastic of material? I can see the wings are printed

Darren (vitamin_d_81): they are fabric, with a plastic skeleton underneath

Question: Is it the same mold as Monster High's Nightmare?

Darren (vitamin_d_81): no, unfortunately that mold had been destroyed so it wasn’t available to use.

Mattel drops a teaser image of a Netflix Catra doll July 5, 2019 10:16 pm by Tallstar

It looks like Mattel is going to gradually unveil teaser images from their DreamWorks/Netflix She-Ra and the Princesses of Power doll line, leading up to a reveal of the full wave of characters at San Diego Comic-Con in July or possibly shorly before the convention. Today we get one for one of the most popular characters in the series, Catra, Etheria's "scorned villain" who grew up with Adora in The Horde and felt betrayed by her defection to The Rebellion.

Previously, Mattel posted teasers for Princess Adora and Bow on their social media.

This line is said to be exclusive to Target. Kidscreen reported that the full range will launch at Target in the US in August, with dolls available for US $14.99 and US $29.99. Click here to learn more and join the discussion on the He-Man.org forums!

--------------------
ANNALISE'S INSTAGRAM PAGE (Catra doll designer)

Annalise (the_ageofa): Hey Adora: @Mattel

SHE’S HERE and it’s a partial face reveal!!! Out of all the characters in the line, I have been the most excited for Mattel to unveil Catra, not only because she’s my favorite (snarky, badass, looks great in a tux and a dress, morally grey) but also because I know she’s so many of your faves too! I can’t wait for y’all to see how many details we packed into her full doll but for now here’s a fun little tidbit about her. When you work with a collaborative partner on a line (in this case the Dreamworks licensing and the animation studio), it takes a lot of effort and back and forth tweaking as both sides make sure that it truly represents the animation and works as a toy. When it came to Catra, we painted the head for the first time for our test model way back when and EVERYONE loved it, straight out of the gate. For those of you in the business, y’all know how rare that is! So if that’s not a good omen for the future, I don’t know what is!

Mattel drops a teaser image of a Netflix Bow doll July 3, 2019 2:15 am by Tallstar

It looks like Mattel is going to gradually unveil teaser images from their DreamWorks/Netflix She-Ra and the Princesses of Power doll line, leading up to a reveal of the full wave of characters at San Diego Comic-Con in July or possibly shorly before the convention. A few days ago Mattel posted a teaser of Princess Adora. Today (Thursday, June 27th), Mattel dropped a teaser of Bow, Etheria's resident archer, tech master, crop top wearer and overall voice of reason.

This line is said to be exclusive to Target. Click here to learn more and join the discussion on the He-Man.org forums!

--------------------
ANNALISE'S INSTAGRAM PAGE (Bow doll designer)

Annalise (the_ageofa): Here we go - PT 2 of the mainline teasers! I know, I know!!! We actually made a boy character!!! Well honestly, Bow is such a sweetheart it’s pretty hard to not make him. I know a lot of people have been asking about articulation so you can see elbow jointing (hint hint rebodiers rejoice!) AND Bow here has something you can’t see in this photo that I made sure to include that I know a lot of you have really been wishing for in a mainline boy doll Ps: How gorgeous are these teasers created by our social media team???

Question: If I may ask, will there be playsets and like alternate outfits? (low key I need the princess prom outfits)

Annalise (the_ageofa): Sorry! That’s confidential BUT speaking in general most toy brands don’t start with playsets// new looks at launch (see: Harry Potter, MH, DCSHG) but if they do well and everybody loves them, some more magic happens and tadah! Playsets! New Looks! So keep those fingers crossed!

Question: So excited! Are you allowed to share the size of the dolls?

Annalise (the_ageofa): I would check the specs on the SDCC 2pk on the Mattel website! These should match up as they were designed to work in the same line

Comment: Oh my gosh! I love the She-Ra reboot! Really hope to see these made! Bow is such a sweetheart

Annalise (the_ageofa): the Mattel page has more info but they are coming soon
